Alec Ennis McLeod

5 febrero, 1944 – 4 agosto, 2025
Obituario de Alec Ennis McLeod
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Assman's Funeral Chapel

The Family of Alec McLeod sadly announces his passing on August 4, 2025 at the age of 81. He will be missed by his loving wife Diane of 58 years; two sons Scott (Tiffany) and Mark (Gabrielle); grandchildren Ashley, Sarah, Emily, Emma and Jackson.

Alec was born in New Westminster and grew up in Langley Prairie. He was active in his youth in the 4H Club raising livestock and was in Sea Cadets. He enjoyed fishing and hunting on the family's farm. He would always reminisce about the many pheasants and ducks in the fields when he was younger. The Family moved to Prince George in 1979 and that has been home ever since. He became active in scouting; being a leader for both Scott and Mark in Cubs and Scouts.

He always enjoyed being out on the water and boating, whether it was just a canoe or his old white boat or later his ocean going cabin cruiser. He was always happy catching salmon, halibut and of course crabs. Many trips to the ocean were taken with family and friends who would enjoy a crab feast on the boat at the end of the day. He was a proud member of the Prince George Power Squadron for many years.

His work ethic kept him busy with many different jobs over the years. He worked for BC Tel, Tolsec, and JD Little Forest Centre. He would also just help out anyone that needed his expertise which included just about anything you could think of; electrical, plumbing, auto repair, welding, construction, you name it. Long after retirement he stayed busy as a handyman with AM maintenance--fixing anything and everything from drills to downriggers to household problems.

Many will remember his dry sense of humour. He was quiet but usually had a 'smart alec' comment to impart.

Alec was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed.

He would not want friends and family to be sad, but instead please be kind and help one another.
