Anne Irene Nelson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother, Grams (Grams Bear), GiGi. Mom joined her loving husband Alf (who passed in 2008 and was watching over her and waiting ever since) on April 17, 2015. Mom LIVED her life to the fullest, LOVED with all her heart and LAUGHED and enjoyed each and every day. The wonderful legacy that this great matriarch has left behind includes daughters; Diane (Paul) Bertoli, Brenda (Bob) Small, Janet (Murray) Handford and Maureen (Dave) Mallais. Grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brannon (Joe) Lucke, Jason (Leah) Rennie, Jeremy (Stacey) Rennie and Nick (Mark) Rennie, Sarine (Bryan) Garfield, Eden (Jay) Small and Spencer (Carlee) Small. Matthew (Chelsea) Handford and Warren (Shizuka) Handford. Ethan, Brooke, Hailey and Griffin Lucke, Parker Rennie (and new TBA brother) and Avree Handford. Also survived by her two remaining siblings Sister Adelaine Mayson and baby brother Joe Danchuk, both of Edmonton, Alberta. Mom was predeceased by the love of her life, Alf Nelson, parents Mary and Stephen Danchuk, Siblings: Mike, John, Harry, Peter, Bill, Victor, Larry and Vicki. Heart felt thanks to the amazing folks who took such great care of Mom: Dr. Raymond, Dr. Lamb, wonderful staff and care givers at BC Cancer Agency and Prince George Hospice House. Memorial Service and Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 16th at Assman's Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prince George Hospice Society
