Connie leaves behind her son Wayne (Sandy); daughter Shelli (Bill); grandkids Kayla (Garett), Dezerea, Josh, Kristian, Shelby, Dawson (Meghan), Sean (Justine), and Jonelle (Kyle); great grandkids Kaeden, Hunter, Lincoln, Aubrey, Heath, and Helena. She will also be missed tremendously by her sister Mary; stepsisters Christine and Cathy; sister-in-law Loraine (Bob); brother-in-law Rob, as well as countless extended family and friends.
Connie was born strong, the origin of the term “Mama Bear”. Loved her grandchildren fiercely. Could teach you how to swing an axe and could grow pretty much anything in her garden. If you needed her, she’d be there - any place, any time. Had the best laugh. She faced her pancreatic cancer diagnosis with fortitude and courage; choosing to live the best quality of life possible in her final 9 months. She passed away surrounded by her family--with no words unsaid.
We are so grateful for the many health care professionals who touched Connie; many thanks to all. It was her wish to have no service.
Connie was predeceased by Bruce, her soulmate and husband of 52 years, and no doubt counted all 874 days until they could finally be together again. We are positive that they are already on their next adventure together.
“Shall we?”
