It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Charles Dalton on July 30, 2025, at the age of 78, in Prince George, British Columbia. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on June 25, 1947, Doug was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Muriel and Ted Coxall, and his big sister Bette.
Doug was a devoted husband to Ricci for 55 years, a proud father to Troy (Kate), Jenn and Jody (Ryan) and a loving grandfather to Marlow, Max, and Bailey--his little gaffers. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Bette (Doug) and numerous nieces and nephews. His passing leaves a lasting void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A man of many passions, Doug loved travel, sports (particularly baseball - GO Blue Jays! - and hockey). He was an avid fisherman, duck and goose hunter and enjoyed camping with family--spending time outdoors and especially tending to his yard and garden. His dedication to his work at the Prince George Airport spanned over 45 years, where he loved greeting and reconnecting with the community and travelers alike.
Doug's rich life was marked by his compassion, kindness, curious mind, quick wit and unwavering willingness to help others. His love for his family and friends was boundless and though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
