Dad was born in Turtleford, SK. At a young age his family moved to Squamish, where his father hired on with PGE. Dad, at the age of 15 hired on with PGE in the shops - with a note written by his mother to allow him to start work. At the age of 21 he began his lifelong career as a locomotive engineer with PGE and then BCRail, for a total of 49+ years of which took him throughout BC, before settling down in Prince George. Many life-long friends were made over those years on the railway.
Our family had a cabin in Pinche Bay on Stuart Lake where many memorable years were spent. Dad was also an avid Spruce Kings and Cougars fan and a season ticket holder for many years. He was also our children’s biggest fan during their sporting lives.
Memories are made, never to be forgotten. May you rest in peace. We will love you forever, until we meet again.
No service by request. If desired, donations may be made to the PG Hospice House in his memory.
A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
