Emily Drake

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our sweet wife, mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother Emily Rebecca Drake. (nee Yaremchuk), In the early morning of November 25th 2013. She leaves behind her loving husband of 60+ years Welsford Drake, daughters Karen (Dan) Ellison of Nanaimo, Darlene (Bob) Simington of Prince George and son Kerry (Diane) of Surrey. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Geoffrey (Amber) Simington, Kelsey (Aimee) Maguire, Scott Simington, and Robin (Vernon) Bonwick, they were the light of her life. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Dominic, Braeden, Hudson and Lachlan Maguire and her name-sake Addison Emily Bonwick. Mom was pre-deceased by her parents Mike & Pauline Yaremchuk, brothers Morris and Bill & sister-in-law Iris Yaremchuk. Mom was born in Myrnam, Ab, September 3rd, 1930. She was introduced as Bubbles to Dad by her cousin Les Yaremchuk, in 1952. They married July 17th, 1953 and shared 60 wonderful years together. Emily worked in the lingerie dept at Sears for many years and loved her job. Mom was a remarkable woman, always happy and with a smile. Mom - you have been an inspiration to your husband, your children, and grand-children. We have been so blessed. You will always be in our hearts. No service by request.
