To Ellen and his Families, your loss is unbearable I just found out about Gerry this week my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember Gerry from times you stopped in Quesnel to say hi you and he were such a loving team joined at the hip a wonderful thing to enjoy. I will miss Gerry for his for his great laugh and his great conversation.  I went back to 1968 when Basil and my sister Phyllis were married Gerry never forgot his roots and always remembered his Mom and Dad and siblings with great fondness boy was he able to tell great stories all with a humorous vain will miss that great man and friend . be gentle with yourselves and honor his memory by sharing his stories. I worked with Gerry in BC Tel around 45 years ago.  Gerry was one of the reasons I enjoyed working for BC Tel so much.  I have many great stories about working on the pole placing truck.  Gerry was a wonderful fellow and good mentor.  I will miss him very much.

I first met Gerry in 1965 when he showed up at my parents place with my uncle and a little puppy. All of them ended up staying with us in my playhouse. They cleared out my toys, threw in a couple of mattresses and proceeded to find jobs and enjoy themselves thoroughly teasing me relentlessly. I loved them both.

Whenever Gerry was in our neighborhood he would pop in for coffee, a quick chat and off again. The last time I seen him was in Costco and I'm sure we blocked the flow of traffic for a good 1/2 hour. It was wonderful.

It won't seem the same without him. My condolences to the family. We lost a good one.





I have such wonderful memories of all the times we spent out  at the lake. 
Getting my dad together with Gerry a few years ago meant so much to both of us.
My deepest condolences to Ellen and Gerry's family.


My  thoughts  go out to you at this time.  I can recall having a beer or more with Gerry  and my brother Brent and swapping tales at the cabin.  He will be missed by many.
