Josip Furlan March 19, 1930-May 24, 2012 Josip was born in Canak, Hrvatska and it is with great sadness that we announce his passing at Hospice House with his loving family by his side. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Anka; daughters Mary (Ballantine) and Anita (Jared); son Mike (Christina); grandchildren Kathleen, Daniella and Marko; sisters Luja Golic, Jaga Prsa, Dragica Rukavina, Kaja Cetinjanin and Pepa Himic; brother Milan Furlan; numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Josip is predeceased by his parents Mile and Luce Furlan and his brothers Grga, Ivan, Stipan and Luka. The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Cancer Care Unit as well as the Surgery South C Pod at the UHNBC and the Hospice House for all of your support and compassion during this difficult time. A prayer service will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1088 Gillett St. Funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment in the Prince George Memorial Park Cemetery.
