Lawrence Harold Grinde

Lawrence Harold Grinde, 86, of Prince George, died March 29, 2012. Lawrence was born August 8, 1925, in Hanley, Saskatchewan, to Lars and Ellesiff (Hammer) Grinde. He moved to Prince George, from Saskatchewan with his family in the spring of 1936, during the depression. Lawrence married June Severinski May 1st of 1948 and they were blessed with three daughters during their almost 64 year marriage. During his life Lawrence tried his hand at many things including, logging, mining, land clearing, installing underground wiring, flying his own planes and farming to name a few. He is survived by his loving wife, June; daughters Carol (Dale), Sheila, and Sharon (Leonard); grandchildren Dean (Jennifer), Christine (Tristan), Clinton, Aaron, Lawrence and Sara; great grandchildren Kyle, Kassidy, Keirsten, Caileb, Grayson, Kalia and Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents Lars and Ellesiff, brothers Leonard, Delmer and Edward. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm from Assman's Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations to the Rotary Hospice House would be appreciated. Interment Prince George Memorial Park Cemetery.
