In retirement, she and her husband Lloyd relocated to Vernon before finally settling in Prince George to be near her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Maggie was a social butterfly and fiercely independent-a woman full of life and "pluck." She gave her whole self to those around her and possessed a larger-than-life presence that made her truly one of a kind.
She was predeceased by her son, David (Dave) Kester, her parents and her siblings. Maggie's legacy of love lives on through her husband, Lloyd Hodges; her son, Martin Kester (Stacey); her grandchildren, Michelle (Dan), Marty (Georgia),
Megan (Doug), and Brett; and her great-grandchildren, Michael, Merrick, Kaily, Laura, Sophie, and Lily. Lovingly known to her family as Mom, Gram, "Grandma Chicken," and Gigi, she leaves a hole in our hearts that is impossible to fill, alongside the cherished memories of a life well-lived.
A service to celebrate Maggie's life will be held on Saturday, March 28th at 3:00pm at Yalenka Hall, 933 Patricia Boulevard, Prince George, BC.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to confirm via email at [email protected]. If you are unable to attend, the family welcomes you to share your favorite stories and memories of Maggie via the same email address.
Maggie will be interred at the Terrace Municipal Cemetery alongside her son, Dave, later in 2026, where she would welcome visitors.
