Carole was born in Timmins, Ontario on May 29, 1952. She was the second of (9?) children. She loved to cook for people. Her happy place was in the kitchen baking, cooking or canning. She also enjoyed teaching others how to do these things. Carole loved camping, fishing, gardening, and most of all, being a Nana to her grandchildren. They all lit up her life.
She is survived by her beloved children Jacqueline Woolley (Mark) and Roger Blanchard (Jennifer); grandchildren Tyler-Lee Blanchard and Ashley Paul (Trevor); great-grandchildren Miccah-Joseph, Xavier, Talyn, Braxton, Bella, Kate-Lynn and Tyson. She also leaves behind many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carole was predeceased by her father Florent Alain; mother Aline Magnan; sister Lorraine Michaud; brother’s Guy and Andre Magnan; her 1st husband Norman Blanchard; 2nd husband Glen Anderson; step-daughter Ehr Ola Anderson; granddaughter Kyla Paul; great-grandson Ryker-James Blanchard and her favorite dog Buffaroo (Buff).
Carole lived life on her own terms. Generous, kind and loving. She was a strong woman who will be dearly missed but never forgotten. When we see a hummingbird, her favorite, we will think of her.
The family would like to thank Prince George Hospice staff for their kindness and compassion at such a difficult time. Also Assman’s Funeral Home for looking after her final arrangements. They treated her with grace and dignity. Their staff was kind and compassionate.
There will be no funeral as per her request. However, her family will gather together in 2026 to spread her ashes and Celebrate her Life.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Prince George Hospice House, the Heart and Stroke foundation or an animal shelter of your choosing, in Carole’s name.
