Melissa was born on November 25, 1979 in Prince George, BC to Randall and Stella Beedle. After graduating from D.P. Todd High School in 1997, she worked for a few years before deciding to move to Calgary. She loved her new life in Calgary and coincidentally started dating and later married a boy from back home. Mike and Missy were married in Cuba in 2003 and later welcomed two beautiful daughters, Brooklyn and Gracie, to their little family.
She devoted her life to her family. Her daughters were her greatest accomplishment. Melissa was very proud of them and enjoyed everything about being their mother. Her favorite things were watching them play soccer, kitchen dance parties, a house full of friends, many belly laughs and the years spent at Pine Lake. She loved all of it.
Her giggle was infectious and if Missy was around it was sure to be a good time singing, laughing and dancing.
Melissa touched so many people’s hearts throughout her working career as an accomplished social worker. She showed so much empathy to everyone she met.
Melissa is lovingly remembered by her “Mikey”, daughters Brooklyn (Cole) and Gracie, her parents Randy and Stella, brother Darren (Alecia), and nieces Elliott, Vayda, Adleigh, Eva, Alexandra and Piper.
No service by request. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
Her song may have ended too soon, but we can still hear her say, “never stop smiling” and “watch me fly”.
