Philip was born and raised in Cardston, Alberta, the second youngest of 9 children. He met his future wife, Wendy, when she was attending college in Lethbridge. Shortly after they were married and welcomed 2 children and 5 grandchildren along the way. He was a hard working and loving man who took great joy in being a husband, father and grandfather. Family came first for Philip.
Philip was always willing to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen for those in need. This past year was tough for Philip, as his health forced him to be separated from his family. He can be remembered saying "I'm not that bad off compared to others I've met here. My family visits me almost daily and I am loved and able of mind." He lent an ear to many, learning their stories and being a support to them where he could--all while facing his own battles with his health. He chose to focus on bringing light those around him.
My father was by far the strongest man I've known and he will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Wendy, family, friends and numerous others whose lives he touched.
Philip is survived by his wife Wendy; children David and Tara; grandchildren (the apples of his eye) Dallin, Joshua, Sara, Nathaniel and Oliver; sisters Mary, Sherry, Judy, Diana and Margaret; numerous nephews, nieces and other extended family. He is predeceased by his parents Tony and Dolora Mousir, brothers Tony Leroy, Tony Kay and Loyd, his sister Reita, and nephew John.
There will be a Service for Philip on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:00 am in Prince George BC at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4180 5th Avenue. For those who cannot attend in person, we will be providing a Zoom link.
Until we meet again, you will be in our minds and our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation to Parkinson Canada.
