Raymond was born in Vancouver in 1939 and made Prince George his home from 1951 onward. Over the decades, he became a familiar and cherished presence in the community. He was a man who found joy in the simple, meaningful rhythms of life—a devoted golfer, a caretaker of an immaculate lawn that was a point of pride, and above all, someone who cherished the moments spent with his family.
Raymond shared 63 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pearl, a partnership marked by enduring love and quiet strength. He was predeceased by his parents, Sherlock and Mary Carrelli.
He is survived by his wife Pearl, his brother Gary (Pauline), his sister Diane (Brian), and his son John (Anne). Raymond was a proud grandfather to Bryce, Jennifer (Rob), and Megan (Dylan), and a delighted great-grandfather to Mckenna and Dawson. His family will remember him for his steady presence, warm humour, and the gentle wisdom he offered so freely.
In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, no service will be held. His family takes comfort in the memories he leaves behind—of sunlit fairways, a perfectly kept yard, and countless moments of laughter and love.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
