Obituary:

Russell Elwood Reynolds, age 70, of Prince George, British Columbia passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

As a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Russ served both domestically and abroad. The highlight of his service was being part of a UN Peacekeeping Mission (1978/79) in Syria & the Golan Heights. After his military service, Russ was employed by the City of Prince George as a Heavy Duty Mechanic until his retirement in 2008. Russ was a member of Legion 43PG and enjoyed his “Friday Lunch Club” very much. Russ enjoyed fishing, photography and his faithful dog, Rusty. Russ and his wife Lila built a wonderful life in their Ness Lake community.

Russ is survived by his loving wife, Lila (Anderson), his sister Barbara Pocock (Greg), his brother Tom, and sisters/brothers-in-law Ron & Donna Anderson, Lyn & David Linton, and Eileen & John Roesch. He will also be deeply missed by family: Tricia (Kelly), Jenna, Brad (Madison), Allison (Dana), Brent (Sue), Bryan (Wendy), Geoff (Jenna), Lyndsey; Jason (Brooke), and Kevin (Lorrie), as well as many cousins throughout Alberta & BC and loyal friends around the world.

Russ was predeceased by his mother Lucille, in 2024.

As requested, there will be no funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be planned for this summer.

We want to express our deepest appreciation to the BC Cancer Center for the North (Gwen, Beth, Stacey, Dr. Vergitis), University Hospital Emergency staff, 2A South (Christian & Oma). Dr Devan Reddy and Dr. Zafar Iqbal, and the amazing staff at Rotary Hospice.
