Stella Marie Morin

Stella Marie Morin was born June 21, 1933 in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, to parents Joseph Merasty and Mary Louise Merasty (Martel). Stella a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 27, 2023 in Prince George, BC.

Stella will be deeply missed by her husband John and their surviving children: Marlene (Bob), Stan (Glenda), Debra, Keith (Rejane), Lynn, Darrell, Lori (Bob), and Corey. Her love and guidance shaped their lives, and they will forever hold cherished memories of their time together. Stella instilled in her children the value of sticking together, and that sentiment is deeply rooted in our entire family. Her unwavering love, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Stella's legacy will be forever cherished, and the memories she leaves behind will continue to inspire those she loved.

Married to her devoted husband John for an incredible 73 years, their unwavering bond and love for each other were an inspiration to all who knew them. John and Stella were inseparable, they were a team, always together. She found delight in every moment and cherished the companionship they brought. Stella's warm smile and laughter brightened the atmosphere wherever she went. Stella and John's 74th wedding anniversary would have been celebrated this coming September, a testament to their enduring love.

Stella was known for many things, making the best bannock and fried bannock, her love of music which she shared with her husband John and all their kids and grandchildren, playing bingo with her friends and loved ones, going on road trips always with John by her side, and most of all the dedication she had for her friends and family. Stella would always welcome visitors into her home with a warm inviting smile. Her hospitable nature meant there was always room for one more at her table. Her generosity and loving spirit made her home a gathering place for family and friends.

Stella's departure has left a void in the hearts of all those who love her. Yet, her memory will continue to bring comfort and strength during these difficult times. She will forever be remembered for her love, kindness, and the profound impact she made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. May Stella's soul find eternal peace, and may her legacy of love, togetherness, and hospitality continue to inspire us all.
