Therese Corinne Marie Wymer

Mom spent most of her life caring for others: her siblings, her children, her grandchildren, her husband, other family, friends and students. She never put herself before any of us and always made you feel special and loved. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, you know that she had the biggest heart and genuinely cared about every person in her life. Mom had the most beautiful singing voice, was an avid reader (correcting grammar mistakes as she read, marking up all her books) and was an amazing writer. One of her parting gifts as a teacher was the song, ‘Snows are Falling on Our Mouse Mountain’ that they still sing at the Mouse Mountain Elementary School Christmas Concert every year.

Mom lived for her grandchildren, reading books to them in the most magical way, scratching their backs & singing them to sleep (the same way she did with her daughters when they were young) and soaked in every hug or cuddle. Mom also had a great sense of humour and the best, most infectious laugh. Once she started laughing (it was usually to the point of crying), you couldn’t help but join her. This is a crushing loss for our family and our world will never be the same without her. She was the best. Sorry for all the grammar mistakes here mom.

Terri is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rick; her daughters Michelle (Brett) and Nita; her grandchildren Michelle (Will), Cole and Bailey; son-in-law Fernando; her siblings Paul (Celine), Jude, Monique and many nieces & nephews. Terri is predeceased by her mother Anne; father Raymond; aunt Maura and siblings Marie, Joe and Guy.

She will be forever home next to her mom and Aunt Maura in Willow Bunch, and we will be celebrating her there in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honour to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
