In honour of William James Randy Hedstrom
It is with heavy hearts we are taking this time to inform people of the passing of Randy Hedstrom on March 27, 2026.
During the years he lived in the Nukko Lake community, he was that guy who always had a pot of coffee on, and there was never a bad time to sit and shoot the breeze. He was also the first person to lend a hand—or even a wrench—to help keep your vehicle in top-running condition. Randy was the type of person who was always there when you needed him, whether you knew him well or not.
For many years, he was a fixture in the coffee shops on the Hart, and you could nearly set your watch by the time he showed up to share the day’s events, along with his many stories and laughs. Anyone who took the time to sit and enjoy a conversation with him was suddenly part of his world, and you always knew you were welcome. He had a profound effect on those who took the time to get to know him, and he will be deeply missed by many.
