Bernard Dalton Agnew

Bernard Dalton Agnew, 79, of Bluefield, WV passed away July 13, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Born April 25, 1937 in McComas, WV; he is a son of the late Dalton and Mazie Gillenwater Agnew.

Bernard liked baseball, NASCAR, listening to his scanner, but most of all spending time with his family.

Bernard was a dedicated employee, retiring from the Sara Lee Bread Company in Asheboro, NC

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Hager Agnew; two children, Dean Agnew and wife, Becky of Bluewell, WV and Patricia Hendrick and husband, Andy of Bastian, VA; two granddaughters, Amber Agnew of Bluewell, WV and Andrea Davidson and husband, Kevin of Brushfork, WV; two great-grandchildren, Waylon Perry and Willow Davidson; three brothers, Benny Agnew and wife, Minnie of Richmond, VA, Larry Agnew and wife, Charlotte of Princeton, WV, and Jack Agnew and wife, Sarah of Asheboro, NC; a sister, Mary Ellen Lucado and husband, Alton of Appomattox, VA.

In keeping with Bernard’s wishes, a private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton is in charge of the arrangements.
