

On August 13, 2015, God reached down and heaven gained another angel. Pastor Bill James Hamm, 81, of Princeton. Bill was born April 10, 1934 in Matoaka; he was a son of the late Fred Hamm, Sr. and the late Vesta B. Bare Hamm.
Bill loved doing carpenter work; he was of the Pentecostal Faith, and served as Pastor in churches in the Wytheville, VA area. He was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lora Alice Thorne Hamm; brothers, Charlie, Fred, and Frank Hamm; and a sister, Nora Hamm Campbell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving memory include his children, Hunter Lee Hamm, Kimberly Hamm Knuckles, Yelanda Thodoroff, and Bobby Shuck; grandchildren, Nichole, Johnathon, and Matthew Thodoroff; brothers, Donald, Hubbert, and Glenn Hamm; two sisters, Betty Colobro and Bernice Hamm Charette; extended family, and friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Pastor Bill James Hamm will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Steele officiating. Following the services, Bill will laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery, Princeton. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 12:00PM until time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
