Joyce Ann Clarke, 72, of Princeton, went home to be with Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2018.
Born October 19, 1945 in Mullens, WV; she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Helen Wolfe Halsey.
Joyce loved taking care of people, especially her children, and her grandchildren; she truly loved and cherished her family. She was affectionately known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren and their friends. She never met a stranger, and you felt loved and welcomed from the first time she met you. She enjoyed gardening and in her earlier years when her health allowed she enjoyed her Shag Club and the beach.
She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Willow Brooke Baptist Church, Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clarke and a sister-in-law, Diania Halsey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her 4 loving children, Tonya McFadden and husband, Jerry of Princeton, Brian Mustard of Princeton, Michael Mustard and companion, Mary of Princeton, and Kenneth Clarke of Maryland; eight grandchildren, Heather Pickering and husband, Chris, Jessica Mustard and companion, Juan, Zack Mustard and wife, Pearl, Dustin Mustard, Jake Mustard, Johnny McFadden, Heleana McFadden and Damien Clarke ; eight great-grandchildren, Jayla Harris, Alexa Mustard, Lilly Dameron, Adam Pickering, Cameron Mustard, Jordan Mustard, Bryson Mustard, and Colten Mustard; two brothers, Jimmy Halsey of Amigo, and Jarrell Halsey of Princeton; Tom Mustard, Tonya’s, Brian’s, and Michael’s father; extended family, including Pam Mustard and Missy Duff and a host of friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Joyce Ann Clarke will be held 12 o’clock noon Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, with Pastor Emory Marchant officiating. Following the services, Joyce will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Joe at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
