

Norma Cook Green of the Welch-Pineville Road went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2011, at the age of 95. She was born on October 16, 1915, to Joda G. Cook and Rosa Jane Farmer Cook in Glen Rogers, WV.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Amos E. Green, one sister Wavie Swim and three brothers, Chafin Cook, Verdun Cook and Argone Cook.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Vera Henrichs of Mechanicsville, MD; granddaughter, Lynne Chick and husband Joseph of Mechanicsville, MD. grandsons, Stephen Henrichs and wife Diana of Quartzsite, AZ. and Jonathan Henrichs and wife Marsha of Lusby, MD. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters Kathryn Chick of Arlington, VA. and Melanie Chick of Mechanicsville, MD. and one nephew, Bobby Swim of Glen Fork, WV.
She also leaves behind two dear friends, her caregivers, Ruby Green and Sonja Osborne.
Mrs. Green became a member of the First Baptist Church of Welch in 1951. She was a Past Worthy High Priestess of the Welch Chapter of the White Shrine, she was a member of the Welch Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was active in various women’s clubs in McDowell and Wyoming Counties.
She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 A.M. on Monday, April 4, 2011, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor C.T. Lilly officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
