Jerry J. Nichols

Jerry was born with his twin brother ‘Terry’ on October 19, 1947 to Walter & Mary Alice (Six) Nichols in Colfax, Iowa, where he attended school. He then moved to California to expand his life skills. Jerry married Rosa and settled in Monrovia, California.

He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and did two tours in Vietnam. When he returned home after honorable discharge from U.S.M.C. Jerry started working in the construction industry and learning many skills related to the construction industry under his father-in-law. Jerry also went to college to further his construction skills. Later he owned and operated Nichols Construction company for 35 years.

Jerry was an avid fisherman, and loved camping, and had an abiding love for animals. Whenever possible he helped others, he taught his workers to improve their skills. He was generous and kind to all. Jerry was a member of Central Oregon Shooting Sports Association Gun Club.

He later met & married Barbara C. Glasier, on November 8, 1997 in Carson City, Nevada.

He is survived by his second wife, Barbara Nichols of Bend, Oregon, his son; David Nichols, his daughter, Diana Nichols both of Monrovia, California. Three step-children; David Wooner of Fallon, Nevada, Mary Wooner of Bend, Oregon, and Ruth Anne Ellis &her husband David Caneva of Canoga Park, California. Sister; Linda Mergil of Duarte, Californa, brothers; Gary Nichols of El Monte, California and Craig Spencer of Iowa. Two grandchildren; Robert Wooner of U.S.M.C. – New Jersey, and Celeste Harmon of Canoga Park, California.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother; ‘Terry’.
