Rebecca was born in Marfa, Texas on September 1, 1921 to Albino and Bernave (Castillo) Cowell.
She married Simon Corona in Yuma, Arizona in April of 1939.
She was a beautiful lady who knew nothing but love for her family and dearly loved each and every one of them. She taught her family the meaning of love and caring. She taught her granddaughters the meaning of being a lady and the values of life to care for a family. She gave her grandsons the values they would need to support their families. She always surprised you by her quick wit and sense of humor. Her laughter and beautiful smile always flowed throughout the room. She will be dearly missed by all who love her.
Rebecca is survived by her husband; Simon Corona, of Prineville, three sons; Arturo Corona of Enon, Ohio, Alfred Corona of Prineville, and Simon Corona of Pendleton, Oregon. Her brother; Richard & his wife and a sister; Arminda Maria Margarita ‘Mimi’ Cano, all of Santa Maria, California. Twelve grandchildren , 32 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Estelle Gloria Corona (1941), sisters; Salome ‘Sally’ Hernandez, Pradelia ‘Prady’ Haro, Emma Polamar, Esperanza ‘Espie’ Vawques and Gloria Navarro all of California, brothers; Albino Castillo Cowell and Roberto Cowell (lost at sea).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chase Bank –Prineville; in her memory.
