A. Barbara Malachowski

Malachowski, A. Barbara (Alukonis) age 90, passed away on January 25, 2012 at RI Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul S. Malachowski. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Alieksandr and Rose (Bartusevich) Alukonis. During WWII, Mrs. Malachowski was employed as an office worker at the former shipyard in Providence. Before retirement, she was employed for a number of years by the US Postal Service. She was also a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara R. and husband Robert W. Brousseau of North Kingstown, Jane M. Scivola of West Warwick and Dr. Marie Cannon of Quincy, MA. Grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 6. She was the sister of Estelle Morrissey of Cranston. She was also the sister of the late Adam Alukonis and Helen Gavagan. Her funeral with visitation will be held on MONDAY at 8:30 am from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Matthew Church in Cranston. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery .
