Warwick:Berube, Alan R., 61, of Wellington Ave, died Tuesday at RI Hospital.Born in Newport, he was a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Smith) Berube.Alan was a correctional officer steward for the RI Department of Corrections for 26 yrs, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the RI Brotherhood of Correctional Officers. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran.He is survived by his two children, Michael A. Berube of Cranston and Renee Carter of Putnam, CT, and a sister, Kathy Lamarine of Fiskdale, Ma.His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8am from the Russell J. Boyle&Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am in St. Clement Church, Long St. Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Friday 4-7pm.
