

Alan was the devoted husband of Barbara A. (Bolash) Lippacher for 38 wonderful years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Emily (Calitri) Lippacher. He was the proud and loving father of Danielle J. Lippacher and her fiancé, Ethan Lyons, and the cherished brother of Deborah Mathews and her husband, Richard. Alan also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Chloe and Zoey.
Alan proudly served with the Providence Fire Department for 28 years, having graduated from the 43rd Training Academy began his career on Ladder 7 at the Branch Avenue station, where he served for 14 years. Through dedication and hard work, he rose through the ranks and retired as Captain of Rescue 5 at the North Main Street station. In addition to his service as a firefighter, Alan owned and operated Lippacher’s Landscaping Unlimited for 40 years, where he took great pride in providing exceptional care and services to his customers’.
Alan will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and as a man who always put others before himself. He was a mentor and friend to many, admired for his calm and steady presence throughout his years of service. He enjoyed relaxing on the beach, cooking for his loved ones, fixing everything and anything, and always being there for everyone through thick and thin. Alan loved his daughter Danielle more than words could describe. His legacy of kindness, integrity, dedication, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 24th from 4:00-7:00 pm with his funeral on Tuesday, November 25th at 8:45 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alan’s memory may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904, in gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors for their exceptional kindness and compassion shown to Alan and his family.
