

East ProvidencePaulhus, Albert J, 81, of Crown Avenue, died peacefully Thursday, July 5th, at the Saint Elizabeth Manor, Bristol. He was the husband of Elisabeth M. (Karlsson) Paulhus. They had been married fifty-five years. Mrs. Paulhus and her family would like to acknowledge the staff of the Saint Elizabeth Manor for the loving care, and kindness, shown to Albert, and them, during his stay with them. Born in Providence, a son of the late Albert A. and Anna (Brutzman) Paulhus, he had lived in Riverside most of his life. Mr. Paulhus was an electrician with the Narragansett Electric Company for forty-one years, retiring in 1989. An avid golfer, Al was a member of the Silver Spring Golf Club, Riverside. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WW II. Beside his wife, he leaves a son; Donald A. Paulhus, a daughter; Marsha E. Browning, four grandchildren; Shawn P Browning, Stephanie A. Goodrich, Jessica L. Metkiff, Erica L. Meyers, and a great-grandson; Benjamin M. Goodrich. He was the father of the late Michael D. Paulhus and brother of the late Robert E. Paulhus. The funeral service, with military honors, will be held Saturday morning, at 10:00 am, in the Columbarium Committal Center at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, to which relatives and friends are invited.
