Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Caputo) Corsetti.
Amato was a letter carrier of the U.S. Postal Service for many years before retiring. He was also a WW II Navy Veteran.
He was the father of James and Raymond Corsetti; father in law of Sandra and Michelle Corsetti; grandfather of Melissa, Raymond P., James A., Matthew A. and Julia F. Corsetti; great grandfather of Norman Corbin and brother of the late Linda DiMaio. He was also the companion of Eileen Munroe.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30 AM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Committal service to follow in the chapel of St. Ann Cemetery.
