

Angelo S. Costabile, 95, passed away November 14, 2017 on the 6th anniversary of his beloved wife’s passing, Josephine (Bonaminio) Costabile. Born in Providence, Angelo was a life-long resident of the city where he was a communicant of St. Ann Church. Angelo was the son of the late Alessandro and Clementina (Picozzi) Costabile; father of Angelo Costabile and his wife Carol; grandfather of David Costabile and his wife Peggy, and Jennifer McCaghren and her husband Patrick; great-grandfather of Kyle and Shaun McCaghren and Christian and Caroline Costabile; brother of the late Domenic, Joseph and Sophia Costabile and Concetta Albanese.
Angelo served in the Army during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Howard Rogers American Legion Post #25. He was employed as a postal worker at the Providence Post Office where he retired from in 1984. Angelo enjoyed gardening, bingo and playing hi-lo-jack.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial with military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate
