

Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Giovanni (Battista) and Giovanna (DellaVecchia) Forlini.
After serving in the Italian Air Force, Anthony came to the United States in 1956 and proudly became an American citizen. He worked as a cabinet maker and went on to become a Master Carpenter who enjoyed sharing his craftsmanship with his sons and his friends. Tony worked for the Downing Construction Company and as a carpenter for the State of R.I.: Dept. of Children, Youth & Family Services. He also started his own construction company and built many Rhode Island homes.
Anthony was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church. He was an all around outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, raising exotic birds and chickens, hunting and fishing. He loved food, music, dancing and treasured time with family and friends.
He was the father of Anthony Forlini, Jr. and his wife Stacey, Joanne Forlini George and the late Thomas Biagio Forlini; grandfather of Thomas, Jr., Erica, Stephanie and Christina Forlini, and Isabella Forlini George; and great grandfather of 4. He was also the brother of Vittoria Ciccone, Anna Vellone, Sandra Micheletti, and the late Angelina Abbondanza and Emilio, Augusto and Renato Forlini.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Entombment in St. Ann Cemetery will be private. Masks, social distancing and occupancy restrictions will be observed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
