Arleen B. Matracia

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine (Renzi) Grieco.

Over the years, Arleen had many jobs, first starting out at Zayers in Warwick, then with Fleet National Bank, later a brief stint working at Dr. Mariorenzi’s office, Domestic Bank and she finished her career at Shore’s Market. Through all her jobs, her most fulfilling one was that of being a mom.

She was the devoted mother of Charles J. Matracia (Retired PPD) and his wife Angela, Michael A. Matracia (PPD) and Donna M. Strain and her husband John and cherished grandmother of Charlie, Matthew, Andrew, Zachary, Brendan, Samantha, and Michael. She was also the sister of the late Vincent Grieco, Jeanette Gabriele, Barbara Salvatore and Etta Ricci.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Entombment to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION MONDAY 4-7 PM.
