Born in Providence, Gordon was the son of the late Abraham and Geraldine (Gordon) Lisker, and brother of the late David Lisker. In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by two nieces, Livia Lisker-Blount (Joel McCrum) and Alexia Watts (Brett Watts), and two great nephews, John McCrum and Tanner Watts.
Gordon graduated from Gordon School, Providence Country Day and Union College. As president/owner of Jonette Jewelry Co. he was highly respected in the industry for the success of his brilliant designs and manufacturing acumen, as well as his honesty and kindness to his employees.
Gordon’s true passion, however, was his love for all things sentient - from spiders to elephants. This proclivity was reflected in both his jewelry designs and his own collection of cats and dogs.
Graveside service to celebrate this remarkable man will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am in Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Those who supported him throughout his struggle with his debilitating illness of Lewy Body Dementia are welcome to attend.
Should you wish to honor his legacy, a donation to any animal charity would be consistent with his wishes.
