

Baldomero Lopez, 80, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted and loving husband of Reyna (Mota) Lopez, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, dedication, and partnership.
Born in Mexico, Baldomero was the cherished son of the late Jesus and Virginia (Perez) Lopez.
Baldomero worked for many years as a machine operator in the textile industry before his well-earned retirement. Outside of his work, he was a man full of life and passion. He had a deep love for Ranchera music, enjoyed spending time outdoors at the park playing soccer, and found great joy in gathering family and friends for a good barbecue. He was also a skilled mechanic who took pride in his ability to fix things, often coming up with creative solutions and inventions along the way.
Above all else, Baldomero’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was the cherished father of Elsa, Sonia, Hugo, and Janet Lopez, and the adored grandfather of 11 grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense happiness and love.
His visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 pm and Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 8:30-9:30 am in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery.
Baldomero will be remembered for his warmth, his ingenuity, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
