Pawtucket Barbara A.Harwood, 77, of Trenton Street, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 29, 2013, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Syracuse, New York, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Douglas) Harwood. Barbara was a sales associate at the Arc of Blackstone Valley New to You Too Store and Blackstone Valley Industries before retiring. She had also worked for International Packaging Company and Standard Uniform Company. She leaves many friends and caring support staff in her Trenton Street home and throughout the Arc of Blackstone Valley community, especially Barbara Heal and the Hennigan's, who were like family to Barbara. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, July 2, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, with a service at 10:30 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be private.
