Barbara M. (Poli) Zanni, 86, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by her loving family . She was the wife of the late Gennaro “Chick” Zanni.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Edith (Sepe) Poli.
Barbara was the mother of Gennaro Zanni, Jr., Sandra Lentini and her partner Paul Gaynor and Stephen L. Zanni and his partner Linda Hicks; grandmother of Nicole Pellegrino and her husband Jimmy, Joseph Lentini, Stephen, Bianca, and Alexandra Zanni and great grandmother of Giada, Giuliana, and Giavanna Pellegrino, Anthony Lentini, Dimitri and Penelope Thompson. She was also the sister of Louis Poli and his wife Ann and the late Joan DiDonato.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
