

Providence Beatrice V. (Manoian) Bouris, 80, a lifelong resident of Providence, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, at the Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles Bouris.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Kasper and Mary (Aghajanian) Manoian.Beatrice was a 1949 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School in Providence. Mrs. Bouris was employed as a revenue officer for the Rhode Island Division of Taxation for 55 years, retiring in 2005.In her younger years she was a member of the Armenian Youth Federation. She enjoyed gardening, reading and learning the history of the United States of America, and also loved visiting Florida during winter months. Beatrice adored her cats and dogs, and any animal with four legs. Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Dorothy Goorigian of Cumberland; a brother Harold Manoian, of Rocky Hill, CT; her two nieces, Maryann Osediacz (Joseph) and Dorothy Gessner (William), who cared for her. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Beatrice was the sister of the late Kazaros Manoian and Alberta Bedigian.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, at 9:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence. Visiting hours will be Monday, 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donation to: Sts.
