

Bernard Phillip Ambrifi, age 79, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Rosinha) Ambrifi, with whom he shared 24 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Providence, Bernie was the son of the late Vincent J. and Pia A. (Mambro) Ambrifi.
Bernie attended Providence College before enlisting in the military. A proud patriot, he honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His strength, courage, and devotion to service were qualities that defined him throughout his life.
Bernie built a successful career in the automotive industry, where his leadership and integrity earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bernie will be remembered most for his unwavering love for his family and his generous spirit.
In addition to his wife Karen, Bernard leaves behind his cherished children: Ryan Ambrifi and his wife Nikki, Jennifer Brennan and her husband Kevin, and Jillian Pine. He was a devoted grandfather to Madison, Matthew, Noah, Natalie, Fiona, and Violet, who brought immense joy to his life. Bernie is also survived by his sister Mary Willette and sister-in-law Maryann Ambrifi.
He was predeceased by his wife Linda Ambrifi of 22 years, his stepdaughter Heather Daniels, his brother Paul Ambrifi, brother-in-law Richard Willette, and his treasured dog, Sam.
Family and friends are invited to honor Bernie’s life at a visitation on Tuesday January 13, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence.
Burial with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Those attending the burial are kindly asked to meet at the Cemetery gates at 10:45 a.m.

Bernie’s legacy of love, service, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
