Born in Savannah, GA she was the daughter of the late Relee Robinson.
Bernice was passionate about her faith in God and work on behalf of individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. While caring for and raising her family, Bernice was a faithful member of Leverich Memorial Church in East Elmhurst, N.Y., and volunteered at Advocates for Children of New York.
She enjoyed gardening and hosting friends and family.
She was the devoted mother of Sandra Worsley of Bronx, NY, Dr. Catherine Worsley-Parham and her wife Laurie Hanna of Providence and Joyce Worsley of Bristol, RI; grandmother of Judith, Michael and Jessica Parham and great-grandmother of Analeigh Walker-Barone. She was also the sister of the late Arlene Nichols, Wesley Gordon and Benjamin Gordon, Jr and niece of the late Juanita Robinson. She leaves behind a host of loving nephews and nieces.
A private interment will take place where Bernice will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Sam in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date.
