Beth (Licht) Laramee

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Krauss) Licht of Providence and the late Governor Frank Licht.

A graduate of Boston University, Beth was a dedicated social worker at Miriam and Roger Williams Hospitals and Catholic Charities for many years before retiring.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her adored children, Jeffrey Laramee of Cranston and Lesley (Laramee) McClellan and husband Michael of Austin, TX; her loving grandson, Samuel McClellan; her sisters, Carol Kanin and husband Dennis of Newton, MA and Judy Licht and husband Richard Tempchin of Washington D.C.; a niece and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 11:00 am at Temple Emanu-El, 99 Taft Ave, Providence with burial to follow in the Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. The family will be sitting shiva from 2 pm to 5 pm. at one of Beth’s favorite places at 157 Elmgrove Ave., Providence.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dr. Ann Partridge’s Breast Cancer in Young Women Research Fund at Dana-Farber, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
