She was the wife of the late Lawrence J. Souza, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Baptiste) Fox.
Beverly was the beloved mother of Andrew P. Bates, Alicia E. Bates, Anita C. Souza, Amanda Bates, Steven Bates, Adrianne Bates, and Jack Bates; cherished grandmother of Jack Bates, Jr., Nicholas DeCourcey, J’Andre Bates, Adrianna Baptista, and Jamelia Mickens; loving sister of Gordon D. Fox, Robert E. Fox, Maureen Bento, and the late Richard M. Fox Jr. and Zachary A. Fox. She also leaves her two beloved cats, Colby and Paisley.
Beverly worked for many years as an activity assistant at various nursing homes. She enjoyed doing crafts, decorating, listening to music, and loved to cook.
Her funeral service will be private.
