

Carlo Vaccaro, Jr., age 58, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Boudreau) Vaccaro to whom he was happily married to for 13 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Madeline (Davis) Hargis and the late Carlo Vaccaro, Sr.
For the past 27 years, Carlo worked as a Correctional Officer for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. Prior to his Career as a correctional officer, he worked at Heartland and Vic’s Fruit Stand.
Carlo was a graduate of Shea High School, Sport Memorabilia Enthusiast with his business partner Stephen Manfredo and passionate softball player.
All who knew Carlo, felt his passion for his family, life and willingness to help others. Carlo’s greatest love was his son Nicholas.
He was the loving father of Nicholas Vaccaro; stepfather of Karissa, Robert, and Brenna Leo; brother of Michael Vaccaro (Robin), Antoinette Berard (Kevin), Lynnette Shiring (Tony), and Shirley Corio (Peter), and the late Catherine Flaxington. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, amongst them are Kristin Correia (Miguel), Brian, Andrew, and Jason Vaccaro, Daniel Lawlor; and great-uncle of Isabella, Milania, and Ava.
His visitation will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and funeral Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be private.
We would like to Thank the Nurses at The Lifespan Cancer Institute at Miriam Hospital, especially Carolyn, Faye, and Rebekah. As well as Continuum Care Hospice, especially Devri Boylen.
