Born in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Lincoln and Beatrice (Simmons) Florence, and had been the husband of the late Catherine (Varella) Florence .
Mr. Florence leaves his brother, Thomas Santos of East Providence.
Mr. Florence was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was also a computer specialist for the U.S. Government.
