Charles J. “ Chuck “ Cassidy, Jr., 76, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday November 19, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of Carol Ann ( Clark ) Cassidy, they were married for 52 years.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Charles J. and Irene F. ( Buckley ) Cassidy, Sr.
Mr. Cassidy served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a security officer at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for 25 years retiring in 2010. Charles was an avid golfer who loved spending time with family and friends.
Besides his wife he leaves his sons, Sean Cassidy and his wife Alissa of Dighton, MA, Kevin Cassidy of Bristol, NH, his grandchildren, Daniel Cassidy of Dighton MA, Rebekah Cassidy of Dighton MA, Victoria D’ Oliva of East Greenwich and his sister Christine McEachern of Florida.
He was brother of the late David Cassidy.
Funeral will be held Saturday November 30, 2019 at 8:30am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Teresa Church, 354 Newport Ave, Pawtucket. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland.
