

Donilon, Claire C. (Curley), of Pitman Road, Warwick, died on May 16, 2009 at the Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late William J. Donilon.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Albert F. and Eva M. (Smith) Curley, she had lived in Warwick since 1950. Mrs. Donilon was a graduate of Katherine Gibb School and Classical High School. She was a legal secretary with the law firm of Worrell and Hodge for 25 years, and secretary with the Rhode Island Senate Majority Leader's Office for 12 years. She was a former member of the Third Ward Democratic Committee, the Warwick Democratic Women's Club, and the Third Ward Club. She also served on the Eighteenth Senatorial District Committee for over 20 years until her death.Mrs. Donilon is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Reid and her husband, George Reid of Huntington Beach, California, and Paula J. Lamarche and her husband Robert E. Lamarche, of Warwick, and four grandchildren, George C. Reid, Jr., Kristen A. Reid, Matthew R. Lamarche, and Stephen W. Lamarche; also 5 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Martin F. Curley, Barbara M. Hemingway, Walter J. Curley, and James A. Curley. She was the dear friend and companion of the late Joseph V. Mulvey.Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 am from the Russell Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt 117) Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be Friday, 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Francis of Assisi Church in her memory will be appreciated.
