Darrell Jewel Cooper, 52 of Providence R.I. passed away at his home on November 19, 2017. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harvey J and Mary F. Brooks, and the step-son of the late Ella Mae Dee. Darrell had been a Chef, employed by many local restaurants for years throughout his life. Known by many for cooking great food, dancing, and making jokes. Darrell is survived by his children, Bryan G. Lindsey 30, Mishelle M. Mitchell 27, Sherry L. Robinson 26, of Providence, Anthony Cooper 16, Destiny Cooper 14, and Domonic Cooper 12, of Georgia, 7 grandchildren, his brothers Frederick Cooper, Bobby Hall, James Dee, Melvin Dee, Michael Dee, his sisters, Benita Cooper, Debra Wilson, Net Dee, Ann Dee, Tracy Dee, Linda Roberts and the late Raymonder and L'Tanya Cooper. Viewing hours will be held Thursday November 30, 2017 beginning at 11am with a service to follow at 12 noon located at the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Burial will be private.
