David F. Drake, 66, of Sparta, New Jersey, formerly of Rhode Island, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 13, 2013 at Saint Claire Hospital, in Dover New Jersey.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Sprague) Drake.David worked as a custodian at the former Howard State Hospital, now known as the Eleanor Slater Hospital, in Cranston, for thirty years.He is survived by his siblings, Richard E. Drake, of Sparta, NJ, and Darlene Drake, of Owingsville, KY. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. David was also predeceased by his brother Donald Drake.David's funeral will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 9:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick, with a funeral service at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
