Caruolo, Julia Caruolo, and Mitchell Caruolo. Aunt of Denise Melone, and Johnny Villella.
Dolores (Dee, to her family and friends) was the family matriarch and devoted herself to being the best mother and grandmother possible. She enjoyed organizing and planning family gatherings and events. Dolores had a magnetic personality, a great sense of humor and a tremendous spirit for life. She loved cooking for her family during the holidays, spending time at the beach with her husband, Jim and her children, Jimmy and Ricky. Her interests included making ceramics, collecting quahogs off Great Island and shopping on QVC. Dolores loved travelling with her husband and spending winters in Florida. Dolores was a breast cancer survivor who always encouraged others to overcome their challenges. She always pushed her grandchildren to become their best selves and shoot for the stars. Even when she was not feeling well, her grandchildren were her focus, and she loved them more than herself. She cherished moments with her children and grandchildren. Most of all she loved talking to them about their lives, interests and aspirations as they matured into adulthood. She had a passion for life which she passed onto her to children and grandchildren. Dee, mother and wife, as well as “Nana” to her grandchildren will forever be a bright, guiding light to her family and loved ones.
