

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (DeLuca) Iozzi.
While raising two children, Dolores was employed as a jewelry worker for many years where she discovered her primary skill of soldiering jewelry. Most of those years were spent at Cellini Jewelry in Providence where she had many friends. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church where she participated in, along with her late husband, many community events.
She was an avid homemaker and a great Italian cook and was happiest when all her family was together around the table enjoying the food she made. Her trip to Italy with her husband and sisters was the highlight of her life. She loved television and watching movies, reading books, and shopping and browsing for clothes at Macy's with her daughters.
She was also the youngest sister of the late Ralph Biccicco and his late wife Lena; the late Anthony Biccicco; the late Lena Pastore and her late husband Samuel; the late Raffaella Caraccia and her late husband Pasquale; and the late Mary Spagnoli and her late husband Domenic; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was the loving mother of daughters Valerie A. Greco and Lori Merolla and her husband David, and grandmother of David V. Merolla and his wife Janessa and Matthew A. Merolla and his wife Julia; great grandmother of Lochlan and Eloise Bentley Merolla.
Her visitation and funeral will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 549 Plainfield Street, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
