Domenico Conti

Born in Pico, Italy he was the son of the late Giustino and Silvia (Leonardi) Conti.

Mr. Conti immigrated to the U.S. in 1955 and worked as a molder for 35 years before retiring. He was a WW II veteran serving in the Italian Army and was an avid gardener and winemaker.

He was the father of Elisa Carpentieri and her husband Bruno, Giustino “Gus” Conti and his wife Italia, John Conti, Maria Forte and her husband Antonio, Lena Cardoso and her husband Manuel, Erminia “Minnie” Santilli and her late husband Raffaele and Anthony Conti and his wife Paula; grandfather of 15; great grandfather of 15 and brother of Maria Forte Carnevale, Erminia Ianni and the late Giovanni and Allesandro Conti and Teresa Abatecola.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial to follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. VISITATION TUESDAY 5-8 PM.
